It’s my second American album and done in English.
And the previous one I put out, called “Exodus”, was a very experimental kind of album.
And I have like an underground following, kind of like the “closet” fans from that.

But this time I wanted to make an album that was more relatable and more accessible to, like, American audience in general, like connect to the wider audience with good pop music.
And I think I did achieve that.
It’s a little bit of R&B, a little bit of urban sounds in it.
But in general it’s kind of… it’s more of a main stream sound.

I am. I didn’t expect this many people to turn up.
I did this for an event in LA and then in New York.

And Fifth Avenue was just like a chaos. The Fifth Avenue.
And I felt like watching old Beatles footage.
I don’t really do that in Japan either.
It was like the first time I got that, kind of like my car started by a big group of people and I can’t get out of the car… kind of thing.
This I felt so lucky, like, surprised in a good way. I’m very blessed.

Again, pleasantly surprised.

Inspiration. What is my inspiration for all my albums?
I’m just always making music.

I adjust this. That’s why I had him…
Took me four and a half years till I did my second… I did my second American album.

I just do whatever I feel like doing, so…
I put out two Japanese albums during the last four and a half years because I felt like working on Japanese music.
And last year I felt like working on American music. It was about time.
And the label that I work with in America, Island Def Jam, they were like, what are you doing your next English one?
So I finally said I would do.

Just try to have as many people as I can to give my stuff to listen.

No, I’ve done a few cameo appearances on Japanese TV, or TV dramas and stuff.
But I am not for acting.
